The Real Slim Shady is pocketing 10 of 109 total nominations, including Rap Album of the Year (Recovery), Best Rap Solo Performance (Not Afraid) and Best Rap Song (Lie). Ten nominations include three most prestigious categories, namely Song of the Year (Love The Way You Lie feat. Rihanna), Record of the Year (Love The Way You Lie feat. Rihanna) and Album of the Year (Recovery).
Eminem rival in the three areas is quite diverse. Among others, Bob (Nothin 'On You feat. Bruno Mars), Jay-Z & Alicia Keys (Empire State of Mind), Lady Antebellum (Need You Now), and Cee Lo Green (F *** You) for Record of the Year: Arcade Fire (The Suburbs), Lady Antebellum (Need You Now), Lady GaGa (The Fame Monster), and Katy Perry (Teenage Dream) in the Album of the Year: Ray LaMontagne and the pariah Dogs (Beg Steal or borrow) , Cee Lo Green (F *** You), Miranda Lambert (The House That Built Me) and Lady Antebellum (Need You Now) for Song of the Year.

The rest of Jay-Z, Lady Antebellum and Lady Gaga tail with six nominations.
